“The Rescue” in progress

I’ve been working on a drawing for a while, a drawing that utilizes colored pencils, graphite and wash (so far). It’s called “The Rescue.” I want it to seem like an illustration for a story that the viewer makes up. What does the little boy really see when he looks in the window and finds his toys doing things he would never have anticipated? Who is being rescued? The helicopter? The house (and does it have inhabitants)? The frog? I want to make the blue blanket look a bit like a snowy mountainside, but I may have made it too much like one. Here’s how it looks with some details. As I work on it, I’ll update the images.
